Sony Channel Asia is a cable and satellite TV channel, owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment in the Asia-Pacific. It launched on 15 October 2014 at 06:00 MST/SST/HKT (06:15 PST, 05:00 JKT/BKK) by the channel formerly known as Sony Entertainment Television South East Asia for East Asia and BeTV in the Philippines. Sony Channel Asia is an 24/7 English general entertainment channel and it features programmes with Hollywood Entertainment made for female audiences from SPE Networks – Asia, which owns and operates four cable and satellite channels AXN Asia, BeTV, Animax Asia, Sony ONE and Sony GEM, and is part of Sony Pictures Television International (SPTI). Sony Channel Asia is the premiere destination for female-skewing entertainment with the biggest and best of Hollywood. Designed for the socially connected viewer, Sony Channel features some of the most captivating and talked-about drama, comedy, lifestyle and reality programs on TV, all airing close to the U.S. telecasts, together with popular feel-good movies.
